A vacation to a new destination offers a lot of excitement. From seeing the attractions you’ve read or heard about to just being in a new place. No doubt a big part of a trip is going out to eat. Well if you’re planning a Williamsburg Vacation we’ve done a little research on one of the top Willamsurg Italian Restaurants, Sal’s Italian Restaurant located at 1242 Richmond Road. 

I’m sure for most of you that Williamsburg Virginia and Italian Restaurants don’t seem to go together like peanut butter and chocolate, but here’s the thing, Sal’s Italian is special. I mean real special. Sal’s Italian Restaurant is owned and operated by Chef Victor a world recognized leader in the culinary community. Think this is an exaggeration well Chef Victor was an official chef of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Australia! With that title comes a talent worth visiting. 

Sal’s Italian Restaurant has been in business for about eight years now at it’s current address on Richmond Road, and for the past seven years has been voted as the Top Italian Restaurant by voters of multiple poles and dining reviews. The trick, simple, good quality food. The menu does not stray into the realms of which a person would need a finishing school in order to choose a dish, but that doesn’t mean the meals aren’t absolutely fabulous. Sal’s Italian is known for it’s signature dishes and platters of veal and chicken with various types of pasta. The sauces and gravies used for the dishes are homemade of course. The one bit of variety offered is that Chef Victor does have dishes that touch on the diverse flavors and cultures that represent the North and South regions of Italy. There’s something for the kids too. The pizza is fantastic and probably is unrivaled within 100 miles of Williamsburg as well as the New York Style Sub Sandwiches.
